Holiday

Halloween Birthday and Fall Decor.

Good afternoon,

I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t had time to make a new post. Things have settled down a little bit today, so, wanted to take the time to talk about a birthday party we just had for my oldest. She is my little October baby and loves all things Halloween- I think she gets that from me. (She also loves everything about every other holiday… but that’s for a different post.)

When asking Charlotte what kind of birthday party she wanted to have she had requested a Halloween party. That’s exactly what we did- we threw her a 3rd spooktacular birthday.

In this post I’m going to show you and talk to you about everything we did to make sure she had a fun Halloween birthday party. I’ll also show some crafts we have done along with just fall decoration in general.

Before, her birthday we started decorating for fall/ Halloween.

We made Halloween paper chain and a one-eyed monster garland.

Items used to make the chain and garland are linked below…

If you’re also interested in the corner kitchen I’ll link that as well.

For the entertainment center I just added a fall leaf garland and some fall signs with little decorative pumpkins.

For our porch we wrapped the railing in Halloween lights, hung light up witch hats, sat out pumpkins, and wrapped the beams in Halloween garland.

I’ve been wanting a porch swing for some time now- Cody built me a bed swing. I absolutely love it, can’t wait to snuggle up on it when it gets cooler outside and read a good book. I had thrown some Halloween pillows on it and a nice little pumpkin throw blanket. The pillows and blanket came from Target. If you’re interest in the outdoor rug, I’ll have that linked below. If you follow me on social media and saw me post this picture. I had mentioned to ignore the mud on the porch. Our dog got muddy and had a field day. Also, stay tuned for a later post on how Cody made our swing.

Now, onto the birthday fun!! Cody made me a prop stand that we set up for kids to take pictures with.

We had a table area for kids to decorate pumpkins.

For the inside of the house where we had the cake and food. I put together a backdrop for the cake area. I got a balloon garland and then hung up orange and black table cloths to put behind the garland. I hung black witch hats all throughout the house. I just used a push pin to hang them up on the ceiling.

We put up a projector screen and a projector that we played kid Halloween movies on and just sat hay bales around it for everyone to sit on. We even put together a hay ride for the kids.

She had a blast at her birthday party and kept telling us how much she loved it- to me that is a success. If you have any questions about items used feel free to ask!
